ZIZIPHUS JUJUBA (Jujube Fruit)
jujube fruit is eaten raw and also preserved by drying. Fruit purifies blood and assists digestion.
Its different varieties are (i) Ajmeri (ii) Sauvir (iii) Raj and (iv) Chani.
There are many species are available among them : (i) Ziziphus mauritiana (Indian jujube) (ii) Z. oenoplia (Jackal jujube) (iii)
Z. nummularia (iv) Z. rugosa (v) Z. vulgaris
Excess intake of fruits may cause cough.
